Taking all your equipment into, on, and even underwater for a commercial shoot is not for those without experience in the subject. Because it was during a pandemic, this project also gave me the unique opportunity to work with my friends and other acquaintances such as James River guides. The images you see today are over a two-year period. I hope the work shows both my familiarity and love of Richmond.
Visit Richmond promotes tourism for the City of Richmond, Virginia. I first reached out to Visit Richmond during the pandemic. I have a special connection to this client as I live in Richmond. With most businesses closed and commercial work at a standstill, I was thrilled to learn Visit Richmond had a budget and was interested in building their social media and website content. Being an outdoorsman, I already had years of experience photographing the James River from land and by kayak.
