Before the work could start, it was necessary to get the proper permits for drone usage and permission to photograph commercially on state-owned property. It was a large crew as well with a staff of 3 for me, 2 client representatives, and 4 models. I enjoy being on VTC’s short list of preferred photographers and appreciate our continued partnership.
The assignment was to showcase the best of Virginia tourism in Wise, VA. The images and stock video footage would be used not just for VTC print ads and blog posts but for other state agencies as well. Virginia has a lot to offer from mountains to the west to ocean beaches to the east. This required a lot of planning, shoot locations, and extensive hiking to capture the gorgeous mountain lookout views and waterfalls.
