Teva 777
CONTEXT
“Teva wants me to follow you to seven continents in seven days?”
Yeah... I’m in. I’ve done my fair share of international travel, but nothing like this. Every continent, in a single week, chasing an athlete and a friend as he attempted a world record: seven 50Ks, thirty one miles, on seven continents in seven days.
APPROACH
The approach was simple: hold on and do your job. Sleep wasn’t really part of the equation. I pulled two all-nighters, one in Antarctica and another flying from Brazil to Miami. The other nights I averaged about three hours. If I’m honest though, this is the kind of chaos I thrive on. Full tilt, just chasing moments and trying to make beautiful images. The race was sanctioned, and we all traveled together on a private plane that carried the runners and crew around the world.
RESULTS
I like to think the results speak for themselves. Teva is an ongoing client, and this is just one of many projects I get to work on with them. My biggest challenge for this project was making sure the images didn’t all feel the same. I wanted each continent to have its own character. Teva brought me on to capture both stills and video as Mike Wardian ran the races in a mix of prototype and already released shoes. The images and social reels we created ended up being used across Teva’s marketing and media platforms.
